■ General Information
The Games will be held for 17 days from May 14 (Friday) to May 30 (Sunday), 2027. For the schedule of each sport, please visit the Competition Page.
Events will be held across the Kansai region. For venue details, please visit the Venue Page.

■ Entry
There are three participant categories:
Athletes – Individuals competing in a sport
Officials – Coaches, managers, and other personnel involved in competitions
Supporters – Individuals who do not compete but support or cheer for participants and help energize the Games

At the time of entry, you must select whether you reside in Japan or outside Japan. Residency is determined by your current place of residence regardless of nationality. However, Japanese nationals living overseas may choose to participate under the Japan resident category.
The participation fee (fixed in Japanese Yen, tax and processing fees included) is per person regardless of individual or team events.
Payment amounts in other currencies may vary depending on the exchange rate at the time of payment.
You may participate in up to five events for the same fee. From the sixth event onward, an additional JPY 2,000 per event is required (counted by event category).
Some events may require an additional special fee (extra fee).
■ Residents outside Japan
Athletes: JPY 34,000
Officials / Supporters: JPY 20,000
■ Residents in Japan
Athletes: JPY 15,000
Officials / Supporters: JPY 5,000
Payment amounts in other currencies may vary depending on the exchange rate at the time of payment.

February 28, 2027 (Japan Standard Time). If the maximum capacity for a sport is reached, applications may close even before the official deadline.
Entries are accepted online only. We are unable to accept applications by mail. Thank you for your understanding.
The following payment methods are available. No processing fees apply.
Payment method cannot be changed after completing payment.

(2) Convenience Store Payment (available only for Japan resident category and payment within Japan)
Payment can be made at FamilyMart stores using the personal payment number issued for each transaction.
If payment is not completed within 10 days (excluding the application date), the application slot will be canceled.
Please note that application details cannot be changed and refunds cannot be processed at convenience stores after payment.

■ Competition
Please check the “Competition Guidelines” posted on each sport’s page via the Competition Page.
No entry or participation fee is required for spectators. However, please note that viewing may be restricted depending on competition operations and circumstances.
■ Volunteer

■ Tourism & Accommodation
Please visit the Tourism Information Page. Updates will be provided regularly.
Accommodation information is currently being prepared. Details will be announced on this website once finalized.
■ Open Competition
Open Competitions cannot be entered through the main entry site. Entry methods vary by sport. Please contact the respective organizing committee of each prefecture or designated city hosting the sport.
■ Postponement
We will check the status and respond to you. Please provide your name and the email address used to enter the 2021 Games via the inquiry form.
